The purpose of the Training and Placement Cell is to assist students in making the best career decisions and to develop their knowledge, abilities, and aptitude in order to fulfil the needs of the market.

The institute's Training & Placement unit works to provide a common ground and assist students in building their futures by assisting with on- campus employment. We make an effort to investigate the greatest opportunities in the direction of career planning and financial success.

Objectives

The T & P Cell aims to conduct and execute different activities for the students and staff with following objectives.

To bridge the gap between theory and practice
To familiarize students with industrial practices
To provide an overview of industrial scale equipment’s and instruments
To provide a glimpse of materials handling and inventory control
To familiarize and update the students with soft skills and practices required.
To provide scope for overall personality development.
To provide career guidance about avenues open after graduation. ie. Higher education, placements or entrepreneurship
To provide mock trials and guidance to students for short listing in specific area of recruitment.
To have good relations with the recruiters.
Managing Recruiters correspondence and feedback’s.
Organizing Pre- Placement Training’s.
Planning and organizing various Placement drives in campus.
Finding, informing and managing Pool Placements drives.
To build the bridge between industry and academia.

Roles & Responsibilities of Placement Commiittee

To oversee the students' training and placement activities.
To have close link with industry for the placement of students.
To work in consultation with the coordinator of Central Placement Cell for organizing events related to training and placements
To collect feedback from the companies coming for placement
To arrange training programs for soft skills and for interview facing skills for the students using internal and external expertise.
To make contacts with HR departments to pharmaceutical companies and forward resumes for suitable job position.
To arrange placement training and aptitude test for pharmacy student to have better prospect and career growth.
To organize the industrial visit for up gradation of current scenario in the technology of pharmaceutical sector.
Provisions for improving Placements:
The students would get an opportunity to have exposure to the emerging technologies.
Some of the students may even come to a clear understanding that such sub-areas exist in their area of activity such they would visualize their career in those areas.
Mini projects and Term papers are introduced in order encourage positive compartmentalization of learning and to offer replicated industrial operations.
In addition to all the above, teachers offer counseling individually or in small groups
We are maintaining separate Career & Guidance section in the library. There we are maintaining competitive magazines and books for the GPAT, GRE, TOFEL, IELTS, and year books for the use of Students.
Outcome:
The students have been utilizing the infrastructural facilities and training offered by the college pertaining to higher studies and with regard to mould their career.
Many of those students appearing at the said examinations forexecuting higher studies abroad secured respectable ranges and scores.
Our students have been doing well at GPAT obtaining admission into PG courses in Pharmacy at various prestigious institutions.
